DAY 2: SSL at the 33rd Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games Thailand 2025)

Malaysia Closes in at Pattaya

Chon Buri, December 16 – SSL Team Malaysia stayed firmly in the title fight on day two of the SEA Games sailing in Pattaya. In 11-12 knots and intense heat, Malaysia battled boat for boat in the tightest racing of the regatta so far, finishing second in the final race after a strong downwind comeback. Smart tactical calls and late gains kept Malaysia within striking distance as the points battle intensified behind a leading Thailand.

“It shows how high the level is,” said Malaysia skipper Khairulnizam Mohd Afendy. “These teams push hard every day. We have to step up and fight.”
